The cost of a passport is 450 EEK for adults, 225 EEK for children under 15 and senior citizens. Payment will
be in Australian dollars and depends on the exchange rate on the day. Please bring $50.

In September this year (2008) a career consul from the Estonian Embassy in Tokyo will be in Sydney for a week. Exact dates to be confirmed later. He will accept passport applications. If you are interested in obtaining an Estonian passport, which is also an EU passport, then please contact the Consulate immediately tel. 02 9810 7468, or via email on estconsyd@bigpond.com

It could take many weeks to obtain the necessary documents to prove Estonian citizenship.

Even those whose Estonian passports are about to expire may wish to take this opportunity to renew their passport. From next year applicants will have to supply finger prints, thus renewal by post will no longer be possible.

Other consular functions performed by the consul are: witnessing of signature, authentication of copies, legalisation of documents etc.
