Description

Sõrve is a fun filled week for children of Estonian background, their friends and parents.

Sõrve is located located at the NSW Sport and Recreation facility at Point Wolstoncroft on the beautiful Lake Macquarie on the New South Wales Central Coast. Held during the first full week in January the camp is primarily for children of Estonian heritage and children’s activities include a wide range of sports such as volleyball, baseball, abseiling, ropes course, swimming, canoeing and rock climbing. Other activities include singing, rahvatants (folk dancing), camp fires, hikes, kasitoo (craft), theme nights and Estonian cultural activities.

Parents are not neglected; they will be catered for by the Adult Liaison Office (ALO) who plans delightful day trips, sailing on the lake or bus trips through the local wineries, golf days, tennis tournaments and if time permits, parents may try their skills at the ropes, abseiling, canoeing and archery.
