Estonian Passport Application Mission to Australia

I’m pleased to announce that the first week of December 2009 has been tentatively confirmed for two Government officials from the Estonian Embassy in Tokyo to visit Australia on a mission to collect passport applications. The exact dates and cities will be announced soon. We expect Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to appear in the list of cities the Mission will visit.

If you need to apply for your first passport, or renew your existing passport about to expire soon, or you have lost your only passport while visiting Australia, now is the time to get your supporting documentation in order. Please note that while in Australia, the Mission will be performing the following tasks only:
- checking (and help with re-writing of) the application form
- checking the supporting documentation (proof of citizenship)
- verifying applicant’s identity and signatures
- checking the format of the passport photo
- collecting the stamp duties (about 60AUD per adult passport)
- scanning the fingerprints of all applicants

Due to the limited time available, and the large number of applicants, the Mission will be UNABLE to provide any general help or individual consulting! If you need assistance with your pre-application process, please contact your nearest Estonian Honorary Consul, or the Embassy in Tokyo well in advance.
